Welcome

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky majoring in American Politics with a primary emphasis in Judicial Politics. My research seeks to provide a better understanding of how the media opts to cover judicial activity, and the subsequent impact these media portrayals can have on public opinion toward judicial actors. My dissertation focuses on how this triangle of influence is constructed in relation to the Supreme Court, specifically how the Court can impact its own coverage through unifying signals and the consequences of critical Court coverage on public support for the institution.

I currently serve as research assistant for the University of Kentucky's Quantitative Initiative for Policy and Social Research. In the past I have served as primary instructor for the University of Kentucky's courses on Law and Courts, Politics and Film and our introduction to American Government.
